This IDA paper examines the racial, ethnic, and gender composition of Special Operation Forces, aviation, Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance, and Coast Guard Maritime Security Response Teams. It also assesses progress on past recommendations and analyzes the results of focus groups in order to understand the barriers and facilitators to minority participation that exist throughout the career cycle.
