Building Amenities

IDA’s Potomac Yard facility consists of two towers totaling 370,000 square feet of interior space. There’s significant natural light throughout the building, which is equipped with amenities that serve the needs of our staff and sponsors. The space enables IDA to hold large meetings with sponsors and industry. The building has a large auditorium that seats 300 people. In addition, there are breakout rooms, a green room for speakers to prepare for events, and other large conference rooms. The building also boasts a state-of-the-art recording studio, which enables IDA to broadcast events, conduct external interviews, and produce external videos and podcasts. The building is designed for innovation and collaboration!

Wellness and Sustainability

WELL Gold certification badgeIDA remains committed to the health and wellbeing of staff and visitors, and to contributing to a more sustainable future. IDA’s Potomac Yard building is WELL Certified™ at the Gold level. The certification program examines overall wellness to ensure clean construction; healthy air and water quality; and lighting, sound, comfort, fitness and other health-minded features focused on the human experience. To achieve the requirements of the WELL Building Standard, the space underwent an on-site assessment and testing by a third party. IDA will regularly assess the building’s health metrics.

LEED Silver certification badgeIDA’s Potomac Yard facility is also certified LEED Silver®. This certification indicates that the building was designed, built and maintained using best practices for green buildings. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a widely-used green building rating system. It provides a framework to create healthy, highly efficient and cost-saving green buildings.
