Strategic and Operational Issues in Cyberspace

The military domains of land, sea, air, and space encompass physical dimensions, whereas cyberspace is an information environment. Familiar concepts do not fit neatly into thinking about cyberspace as a military operational domain. Policy makers may need to tailor or abandon traditionally held ideas. This summary highlights IDA research projects that have addressed the challenges of developing strategic and operational concepts in the unique domain of cyberspace.
