This presentation describes a test of whether individual characteristics of major defense acquisition programs (MDAPs) respond to changes in acquisition funding climate and acquisition policy, using program duration as an example. A weak negative association was found between funding climate and program duration for a sample of 86 MDAPs. Changes in acquisition policy, however, were not significantly associated with duration.
