This paper includes a literature review of recent advancements in precision medicine, a medical approach that tailors treatment to individual patients. It focuses on chemical and biological (CB) diagnostics, which identify various precision medicine concepts, technologies, and products on the market to assess the state of precision medicine. While findings indicate a lack of research directly tying these factors, there are multiple avenues in which precision medicine can assist when dealing with CB agents to improve clinical outcomes. Analysis highlights the need for new technology and large datasets to implement precision medicine concepts.
