Laura Odell of the Information Technology and Systems Division is the winner of the 2019 Andrew J. Goodpaster Award for Excellence in Research. The award reflects Laura’s role as a pioneer in AI (artificial intelligence)-enabled decision-making, which requires developing and operationalizing AI techniques and combining emerging technologies to enable IDA sponsors to increase the speed of and confidence in their decision making.
