The issue of leadership in Africa has never been more important if African countries – and specifically African citizens – are to reap the benefits of the many positive changes that have taken place over the past decade. Academics, policy makers and opinion leaders have increasingly singled out the importance of leadership as a variable shaping the various development and governance outcomes witnessed on the African continent.
