This issue of IDA Research Summary describes the proceedings of the virtual forum “Orbital Debris Risks and Challenges” held during two half days in early October 2020. The goal of the forum was to highlight and share IDA’s expertise covering various important aspects of orbital debris, from orbital debris detection and satellite risk assessment to U.S. policy underpinning the licensing regime for satellites.
