Defense Health Care Issues and Data
The Department of Defense has a large health care mission, including the operational medical mission providing care in combat theaters and a beneficiary care mission for family members and retirees. These missions present a wide range of health care challenges and produce a significant amount of health care data. Academic research on these issues and using these data provides benefits to DoD.
