Having witnessed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Army recognized its need for a biological defense strategy that addressed the challenges to readiness and operations from biological warfare and naturally occurring disease outbreaks. To fill this need, IDA developed the Army Biological Defense Strategy (ABDS), which was signed by the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7 in March 2021. This paper is the record of the final ABDS that IDA delivered to the Army; it is an unsigned and unofficial version.
