IDA Research Staff participate vigorously in various professional activities – both within their disciplines and ancillary to them – including publishing in the open literature. Highlights of IDA research activity from March 2014 follow.

IDA’s Work Cited in Air Force Report

An illustrated example of a Decision Support System, which is a computer-based information system that supports business or organizational decision-making activities. SFRD’s Drew Miller and CARD’s Daniel Levine and Stanley A. Horowitz’s costing model and decision support system was reviewed by the National Commission on the Structure of the Air Force and cited in its recent report to the President and Congress.  The Commission’s congressionally mandated mission was to comprehensively study the U.S. Air Force and its three components.





IDA Researchers Receive I/ITSEC Award

Set-up of the ITSEC ConferenceJAWD’s Peter Picucci and Sue Numrich received an award for Best Tutorial nominee at the I/ITSEC Conference for their paper on the “Value of Simulation for Commander and Primary Staff Training,” based on their IDA research.
