 Resource and Support Analyses
IDA develops methods and models for estimating the costs to develop, test, procure, operate, and support defense forces and systems. We apply these techniques when evaluating the resource consequences of defense policy, planning programming, and acquisition decisions. Our work improves the understanding of the cost implications of pending decisions and leads to better tools and methods for addressing resource issues. IDA also examines infrastructure and support activities, including the military health care system; the military and commercial suppliers and technology base; the training establishment; environmental technologies and plans.
