The Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) is a not-for-profit corporation that operates three Federally Funded Research and Development Centers serving the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Department of Homeland Security, Unified Commands and Defense Agencies in addressing important national security issues, particularly those requiring scientific and technical expertise.
Provides security protection in terms of preservation of structures, properties, and materials, both classified and unclassified within the premises and grounds of the Center for Communications Research – Princeton (CCR-P) complex; assists in controlling access and means for gaining access by any persons to restricted areas, equipment, materials or documents; provides information or instructions to persons requesting these services within the scope of responsibility, knowledge, and duty of the Security Force Staff. Due to the nature of the work (365 days/year, 24 hours, 7 days per week) this position is often required to work varied shifts including overtime hours and holidays. The CCR-P complex must be staffed by the security force at all times and, therefore, the security force is considered to be essential personnel.
This position supports the security function at the CCR-Princeton complex with no supervisory or budgetary responsibility.
