The Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) is a not-for-profit corporation that operates three Federally Funded Research and Development Centers serving the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Department of Homeland Security, Unified Commands and Defense Agencies in addressing important national security issues, particularly those requiring scientific and technical expertise.

A challenging career opportunity now exists in our System Evaluation Division (SED) supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program.

• This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO, and supports a wide variety of C2BMC activities, including system development, fielding, and sustainment; Ballistic Missile Defense System-level testing; network development; warfighter integration; and advanced concepts and future systems evaluation.

• Graduate degree in a physical science, engineering, computer science, or operations research (a PhD is preferred).
• Self-starting professional with experience developing models and simulations; employing state-of-the-practice software development approaches; working with command and control, battle management, and communications systems; and evaluating future technologies, capabilities, and concepts
• Clearance: US Secret mandatory, Top Secret preferred
