The Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) is a not-for-profit corporation that operates three Federally Funded Research and Development Centers serving the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Unified Commands and Defense Agencies in addressing important national security issues, particularly those requiring scientific and technical expertise.

A challenging career opportunity now exists in our Operational Evaluation Division (OED) at IDA for an individual interested in analyzing the design, execution and results of operational tests of electronic warfare systems on military aircraft.

• Candidates should have an advanced degree in electronics engineering, a physical science, or applied mathematics with relevance to the analysis of radio frequency and infrared/electro-optical electronic warfare systems, e.g., self-protection jammers, standoff jamming, warning receivers.
• Previous experience in military flight operations is a significant plus.
• Experience in the test and evaluation of avionics systems on military aircraft and is a plus.
