Since its formation in 1956, IDA has maintained a high-quality research program embodying the qualities our government sponsors require of its three FFRDCs:
Each of our three research centers strive to be trusted agents for independent assessment and support for our sponsors by providing effective, efficient, and high-quality scientific and technical analyses.
Our ability to provide the high-quality analyses for which we are known is due to the dedication and hard work of our skilled and diverse staff. Our research staff includes a rich mix of physical, life, and social scientists that includes engineers, mathematicians, economists, anthropologists, physicists, and biologists, among many others. This cadre of research staff is backed by an equally accomplished and dedicated professional staff of editors, programmers and computer information specialists, accountants, graphic artists, and others.
